Information We Collect

  1. 1.1When you create an account or make a booking, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and passenger details necessary to issue a ticket.
  2. 1.2When you pay for a booking, payment is processed directly by Yoco, our payment gateway partner. We do not collect or store your card number, expiry date or CVC — that information goes straight to Yoco.
  3. 1.3We automatically retain a record of your bookings (route, date, fare, booking reference) so you can view your trip history in your account.

How We Use Your Information

  1. 2.1To create and manage your account, process bookings, and issue tickets.
  2. 2.2To contact you about your booking — confirmations, schedule changes, or operational updates affecting your trip.
  3. 2.3To respond to queries or complaints you raise with us.
  4. 2.4We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Payment Processing

  1. 3.1Card payments are handled entirely by Yoco (Pty) Ltd, a PCI-DSS compliant payment service provider. Falcon Bus Service never receives or stores your full card details.
  2. 3.2Yoco shares with us only what is needed to confirm your booking: payment status and a transaction reference.

Cookies & Local Storage

  1. 4.1We use browser local storage to keep you signed in between visits (an authentication token). This is required for the booking and account features to work and is not used for advertising or tracking.

Data Retention

  1. 5.1We retain booking and account records for as long as your account is active, and as needed to meet accounting, legal and operational record-keeping obligations.
  2. 5.2You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time, subject to records we are legally required to keep.

  1. 6.1Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and request deletion where we are not legally required to retain it.
